60 Days Visa Exempt Still Available at Satun Border....For Now!

Featured Replies

Thanks to a buddy on here, I was able to get my third Visa Exempt his year after extending the 2nd one for 30 days.

If you need a 60-day visa exemption and qualify for one then I defo reccomend the Wang Prachang Border in Satun.

No questions asked, and a very swift and smooth process for a 2000 baht fee.

Any questions, drop them below

Hope this helps some of you!

Just for your own information the changes to the 60-day free stamp Visa exempt entry while approved by the Thai government have not been published or enacted as of yet so at this time all entry points to Thailand still follow the 60 days for 93 plus countries on the Visa exempt entry program.

Thanks for recent report.

Bottom line is soonish visa exempt will be back to 30 days.

Seems you used safe entry service so don't see relevance.

Maybe a visa in future is an option

Did you get a receipt for your payment of THB 2000?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Today I went to Padang Besar border and asked the immigration lady how many days to get when return with visa exempt. She asked when are you coming back and I said in four days and she replied 60 days. So as Tod above outlines nothing has changed, albeit things are brewing.

Don't follow. Visa exempt entry currently is 60 days.

Immigration cannot stamp you in for less.

Yes will be back to 30 when announced in Gazette

15 days after, and it was rumoured to be getting announced in Gazette tonight/tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see if it's published today, same the agent told me.

He also told me they will severely limit visa runs alongside the reduction and make it much tougher to get visas in future.

But so far nothing published

"tougher to get visas in future"

How. What is that comment based on?

The agent didn't specify as we were inquiring about a marriage visa but I imagine heavier scrutiny and possibly higher financial requirements for short term visas in particular.

So in reality you have no idea and are just guessing?

I was informed by an agent. Not guessing.

I'm hoping that it's not true.

I hope they just change to 30 days.

I decided not to go with the marriage visa and got a further 60 days.

Thank you, what's the company? or do you pay an agent at the border?

You can use an agent for sure. There are tons of agents that do border bounces with a guaranteed additional visa exempt entry.

But I believe specifically for Satun, if you go to do a same day bounce by yourself, 2000 baht is their standard fee to allow it.
