What's with all the 'necroposting' revival of ancient threads?

Featured Replies

Why revive old posts, today there's one almost 20 years old. Yesterday we had a 15 year old post and several 2 year old posts, the day before was a 7 year old post.

Why not start a new post rather than raking up ancient posts and commenting as if it's a new post?

It is weird answering an op from 15 years ago as if anyone is interested plus may be dead anyway. The poster is obviously special needs, a few on here

I like the idea.

I'm looking forward to reading some of the quality postings that Georgie boy has written over the years.

Imagine going through the archives and in 20 years time reading some of Georgies greatest. 😂

The old posts are the best.

If you could find the post about ferreting, you would come away happier as well as wiser.

The world is full of people who think that their own latest idea is the best thing ever, but those of us that remember Sunblest sliced pan loaf may know better.
If Doctor Frankenstein walked amongst us, he'd place his electrodes here

I was searching for "At last there is a place" but I could not find it.

Nostalgia is pish nowadays

I'm laughing because I remember the long running thread about 'ferts' 😂

There were some classics, but would still prefer fresh posts.

Dig them up, splash on some lemon juice and vinegar, and they will smell fresher than anything.

Burke and Hare were never wrong, only convicted. And hanged.
Maybe the internet is not the best place for advice, but its a great place for finding moribund threads that need a jolt from the lectrodes.

Yes, that was a good prediction years before COVID.

Any thoughts on who'll win the World Cup?

Scotland - same as every year since 1974.

Happy to read you are 100% into your statistics

I can't find any old topics on aseannow. I wish I could. Old Thaivisa used to have some video and photography forums, where back in the 2000s members put up personal and historical photos from Thailand. They were even organized into decades. That seems all to be lost now.

There's the 'Thailand and Siam History' section in the Photography forum.

Does that have what you're looking for?

Thanks. That does indeed look as if it contains some of the topics I was looking for.
