Thailand Blocks Nearly 30,000 Foreigners Under Immigration Crackdown

Thailand’s Immigration Bureau says 29,490 foreign nationals were refused entry during the first five months of 2026 under its “Three No’s” enforcement strategy. The campaign focuses on “No Entry,” “No Stay,” and “No Escape,” targeting people considered security risks, visa violators, and suspected foreign criminals. Authorities are using the Advance Passenger Processing System to block blacklisted travellers before they board flights to Thailand, with more than 169,000 names currently on the blacklist. Immigration officers have also stepped up checks on visa-free arrivals, particularly those suspected of intending to work illegally or having links to scam networks. Officials say the campaign will continue nationwide as Thailand works to curb transnational crime and tighten immigration enforcement.
