Yes, you need to upload video of yourself before they will let you log on , for security

I tried login on desktop, u don't need to upload a video but have to upload some official id.

This is way too creepy and I had to ditch this account.

Luckily I had an another account created longago and can continue checking the marketplace

Only required for certain cases........suspicious activities, possible fraud, bot like behaviour.

You might better check again which site it is. Your screenshot definitely shows Faceboo without k at the end. Maybe this is a scam. Or your screenshot has an error.

No such thing on my FB, as stated looks like a scam .

Is it due to the age verification requirements in some countries?

We don't have it in Thailand, but in Australia for example FB needs to check your identity and age.

Here's how it starts: "for security". And then...they've got all of you. Glad I never signed up.

They’re gonna get you one way or another, maybe when you’re innocently are on a discussion forum and they track your ip and hack your address and get your name, then hack the security cameras in your neighborhood and get the image of your face and sell it to the Chinese if they haven’t already. All this can be prevented by unplugging your computer, using a hardware rotary phone and wearing a face mask outdoors.

No, when there's suspicions log in attempt , they ask you to send a video and they compare the video to your Facebook photos/videos to see whether its the same person .

Its a ten second video, nothing to get paranoid about

They probably caught you trolling non stop. I wish AseanNow would do the same!

Hes made 50 posts in 11 years here on A.N

I never trust FB. Be ready for being blocked permanently at anytime by AI. Save your photos somewhere else before you regret.

I lost everything I had on FB for 15 years for reasons I cannot figure out. They said community relations were violated. I never posted or responded negatively to anything during those years. Then one day about 9 months ago I received this same message from FB and immediately thought it was a scam. I couldn't get back on I submitted to their request. They said I only get one try and then they would delete my account if I did not comply. I did it but noticed at the time that not face (up/down, left, right) was not showing up. I submitted it anyway and then my account was obliterated. I realized several days later that my laptop camera lens was not open. FB said "too bad" my one try was over. Zuckerrberg is a complete a--hole.

Borrowed :

So my account was suspended for breaching community standards. (I had posted a link to a AU government website and got again the dreaded doesn't follow our Community Standards on cybersecurity. email).

It has happened twice this month, first time I appealed and it got re-activated within a few hours. This time It had been over a week already.

This is what I did:

- Log-out of facebook

- Wait about 15 minutes before doing recover my password, otherwise you'll get the message "It looks like you were misusing this feature by going too fast. You’ve been temporarily blocked from using it.
If you think that this doesn't go against our Community Standards, let us know."

- Follow the steps to recover password (I used WhatsApp, SMS didn't work). Change your password. You will get to the message that your account has been suspended again. But if you click in the top right corner, you will now see a new option to check for suspicious activity. Select it.

- Answer all the questions. For me it found "suspicious activity and we locked your account" with a date of yesterday (remember I had been locked for a week already)

- Your account is now active again and you can log-in.

I didn't find this myself, I found someone on an Australian forum who found this solution by accident.

Now idea how long this workaround will work for. But it has worked for me.

I know two people who lost their FB accounts for posting smack about 47 and Zuckerberg.

FB is entering full Big Brother mode.
