Bangkok condo glut hits 350,000 units, may take six years...

Knight Frank Thailand says Greater Bangkok has around 350,000 unsold condominium units, with developers shifting towards mass-market projects amid weaker bookings.

Don't they say something similar every year?

Maybe our Canadian anti Thailand troll, because he can't afford to live here, should start looking in his own neck of woods first.

According to Reuters, Canada is experiencing a deflating housing bubble.

TORONTO, April 28 (Reuters) - Canada's housing market slump, the longest in recent decades, is straining household spending even as a record high domestic stock market generates hundreds of billions of dollars of increased wealth.

Thailand builds too many condos and hotels. You wonder how some hotels make money being 90% empty.

Why do you not Google how to spell WHEN? 555

Add to that a large amount of repossessions held by banks, not just condos, nationwide. and yet there are more being built.

Isn't he the one that was bragging he had almost won $100k? Later changed to won almost $100k. English definitely not the first language.

I can see significant price rises on the horizon.........the rises will be required to cover the cost of not having sold in first place.

When I read the headline, I tried to think which country had the wen as its currency.

On average more than 6% drop year on year.

Toronto: https://wowa.ca/toronto-housing-market (but still over $1m for a house and 690k for a condo - average prices - CAD$)

Vancouver: https://wowa.ca/vancouver-housing-market (still over $1.2m for a house, 772k for a condo)

Worth also noting that the average Canadian two-income household ($CAD 110,000 - which is less than the US) has largely been shut out of the housing market for well over a decade (as first time buyers). So the drop needs to turn into a cliff dive to bring prices back to affordability.

Why would it be removed? It´s relevant to your topic as a comparison.

And yet the prices remain far higher than they should be - just like the baht.

So 100k won = 2,200 baht. Congratulations.
