Happy result from MRT Lost and Found

Featured Replies

Last week I forgot a small shopping bag with a few items in the men's room (toilets) at the Lat Prao park and ride.

I didn't realize it until I was zipping away on the Blue Line.

I figured "OK not a killer loss but probably gone".

The bag contained a small umbrella, a gel pack type ice pack, 2 strips of Tylenol, and brand new tubes of 3in1 antibiotic and hydrocortisone cream. (I specify brand new because a finder probably isn't gonna want to use an opened tube of cream).

So next day I look up MRT Lost and Found.

Turns out they have a LINE account just for this.

I report my loss and get a message that they will check their records or words to that effect.

I figure I won't hear anything and oh well I tried.

Lo and behold after a day goes by I get a notice that my items have been turned in and I can pick them up

at the Lat Prao MRT station.

It took about 10 minutes on the phone for the guy at Lat Prao to locate my items and I waited another 10 minutes for a lady to come and return to me with forms to sign and a ceremonial photo of the hand over to be taken. All my items were in the bag.

I know, not on a par with "Taxi driver returns 50,000 baht to passenger" but still a happy and really unexpected result.
