For an Ingrid-Bergman KISS: How much would you pay?

Dear Folks,

Girls today seem not to be what they once were.

I’m not sure if you have noticed this obvious fact.

But, if you could go back in time….

JUST FOR A KISS….from Ingrid…then….

How much would you pay?

Is this not sort of the gist of a Beatles Song?

Having recently re-watched this amazing Ingrid Film, I was moved to tears when Ingrid finally relented and gave her heart, if only for a brief moment, to Norman Bates, and…SEALED IT WITH A KISS…..God….How VERY MOVING…..tears flowed, or would have, if I were not as old as I am, or if I were a woman, which I am not.

As for me, and especially now, I would give EVERYTHING I OWN, just to have one kiss from Ingrid, in the FRONT SEAT of a Triumph….Nothing could be finer in life, at least nothing that I can now imagine.

I know you probably agree.

NOTE:  And if the SYMBOLISM was intention, which I think it must have been….We see INGRID in the DRIVER’S SEAT, which I think was always true of her, throughout her life.

There is no woman on Earth finer than Ingrid Bergman. Even the Chinese think so….

NOTE2:  Here in Thailand, as you may have noticed, is the SEASON OF FIREFLIES…

These fireflies, this evening, are roaming around my garden, flickering, as is their wont. And, each time I see a firefly flicker, I am reminded, with utter angst, of the amazing LIGHT which was so reflective of Ingrid’s great acting work, throughout her amazing career.

She LIT UP THE WORLD, and still does.

So, I say:  Ingrid, please come back. Please come back and give me just….

ONE MORE KISS…..!!!!

I do not understand:

a. It has already been THREE HOURS since this Topic was first posted.

b. So, should this not have been MORE THAN SUFFICIENT TIME for you, and other members, to finish watching this great film?

c. Therefore, WHY have there not been rave reviews of this Topic?

This is a picture of Ms. Bergman with Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca (1942). And these are the shoes Bogart had to wear because Bergman was taller.

Just another pretty woman like millions all over who aren't publicized. I'm sure there are many men like myself who have kissed women as beautiful in their lives. Hero worship is how they get paid so much. The answer is zero.

I really find it hard to believe you are not a BIG FAN of Ingrid Bergman.

Nope. I do like Katherine Hepburn as an actress, along with Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Kathy Bates, Judi Dench, Frances McDormand, Cate Blanchett, Sally Hawkins, Bette Davis, Hilary Swank, Viola Davis, Vera Farmiga, and a few others, but again, they're only actresses.

This wonderful film was very much panned and underrated at the time of its release.

Why?

The film critics in America were just too prudish for their own good, in 1961.

These days, however, more enlightened critics take a more accurate view of this film.
