Once upon a time.... there was a Bull Market.

Featured Replies

I am referring to the recent bull market in precious metals. During the last weeks of the hype general consensus was "it can only go up". As it were some Natural Law, supported by Einsteins E=mc2.

Professional investment advisers softly whispered in the ears of their customers: "Traditionally a 10% share of a portfolio should consist of Gold, I recommend to increase it to 20%".

On Jan 28/29 the bull died a sudden death. Gold down from 5600 to 4400. Silver down from 120 to 73. All within 2 days.

Why I am rehashing all this?

With regard to the current High Tech/AI feeding frenzy, I can only hope that the AI giants soon can prove that actually some serious money can be made with AI.

If not, the above described precious metals scenario may serve as a blueprint of things to come in this sector as soon as a "reliable source" cries "fire" and everybody rushes to the fire exits at the same time.

Rinse and repeat. Love comes and goes. Bull markets also come and go.

Apple raised the prices on their already overpriced computers.

The bull run is over.

Personally I will enjoy that conman Saylor get liquidated.
