Thai Passport Holders Gain Visa-Free Access to 35 Destinations

Thailand’s Department of Consular Affairs has released an updated 2026 list of 35 countries and territories offering visa-free entry to ordinary Thai passport holders. Permitted stays range from 14 days in destinations including Brunei, Oman and Taiwan to as long as 365 days in Georgia. Argentina, Brazil, Chile, South Korea and several other countries allow stays of up to 90 days, while numerous Asian destinations provide 30-day access. Some arrangements are temporary or subject to special conditions, including airport-only entry for Myanmar and time-limited exemptions for Japan and Taiwan. Travellers are advised to confirm the latest requirements before departure because visa-free access can change and does not guarantee admission at the border.
