So the wildly successful Mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, suggested people in the city set their thermostats to 78 degrees to help conserve energy.
NY braces for triple-digit temperatures this weekend, and as the power grid is working near capacity already, this seems like a reasonable suggestion.

But oh no, we can't have this! The morons in the GOP see this as "communism" and started screaming like little bi****s. Never mind that Texas and other red states have been giving their citizens the same advise for ages, and it even briefly appeared on federal websites.

Who doesn't remember the feigned outrage when President Obama wore a tan suit and, oh my gawd, did they ever clutch their pearls and turn on the outrage porn when the then FLOTUS, Michelle Obama, politely suggested that people should perhaps get off their fat a***s every now and then, and maybe try eat something that's not entirely made of ultra-processed garbage. You'd think she suggested they'd drink bleach and shove UV light up their butts!
