Why online 90 days is now taking forever?

Greetings,

I have had no issue in the past doing 90 days online, I live up North. But as of the last 6 months or so, it is just taking forever, to the point I have to go in on the last day in person. In the past it would be done same day or maybe a day or so later after submission. This is my second submission where it is just pending for 10 days already. When I came in in person last time they didn't know why it took so long, said maybe something in Bangkok affecting this. Does anyone else have this issue?

Nope, usually wait two days, maybe three..............you need to check you are not out of the window for applying if it fails......they'll say it's your fault and charge you I bet....555

Mine usually gets accepted the next day.

But there was one time that it just stayed pending and i went in person ( fortunately only 10 minutes away from me ), I did see someone posting that with a similar situation they cancelled their pending application and tried online again with success.

Can’t guarantee that will work but is worth a try.

You're either talking to someone who has no idea what they are talking about, or someone who is just brushing you off. Both are equally possible.

Nothing to do with Bangkok. The TM47s are processed in your local immigration office by one of the immigration officers in that office.

Must be location dependent, as my last one was approved, less than 48 hrs.

Previous one, took about 15 hr, as I posted on a different thread...damn fast

it all depends on ur immigration office
my past few 90 days reports for Phuket were approved within 3-4 hours during the week

I have just done my online 90 day reporting.

All successfully done within 2 days.

I was thinking of doing this again cancelling and re-submitting. However, last time I was told not to do that at the immigration office. But it still clear to me that our local office is just I don't even know. We still have everything different from others. Like if I come to do 90 days in person they want every passport page copied and signed (charge 5 baht per page if you don't have a copy), then also filled in 90 days form.

I just did 90 day online. No problem and received an email. Waiting for approval.

It happened to me about 18 months back when two or three consecutive online 90 days were just stuck pending or rejected. I had to report in person each time telling them of the problem. This after many years of quick approvals. Maybe my complaint on my last visit caused them to sort it out because it suddenly started working again and I've had no further problems. I've never changed the way I fill in the forms (except for the login) so the fault was definitely with them.

It's not the time in Phuket that is the issue. But every so often, for no reason whatsoever the report gets rejected. That means I have to report to Phuket Immigration office immediately which generally writes off half a day.

WHY?
u submit ur report online 7-15 days BEFORE its due
if its rejected , you have still 7 days to report and up to 7 days after with no fine

When you submit your report you should receive an email confirming receipt of your information + attached PDF of your TM47.

The ball is now in their court to approve or reject the application within the window.
I wouldn't worry as you have the evidence they received it.

The rejection email instructs you to contact them immediately and I suspect Phuket Pete is taking that literally.

The Thai government is making it obvious that they do not want long stay foreigners but they are doing it in a very passive-aggressive manner. This is typical of Asian countries where they don't want to just say "no".

And that automated email means you are done with the report. Next step either your report will be approved or you will need to go to immigration (rejected/no answer), very clear.

Things changing everyday, depends on who is the boss today. Same things could be different the day after.

I use to to receive my 90 day approval email just in a matter of minutes, but those days are over.

Go to the Immigration office in Central. You can do it in person in 5 minutes and chill in the air-conditioned atmosphere and buy some bubble tea and watch all the Hi-So shopaholics, good times 🛍️

Approved today, the day after report. 😁

Which particular office is it in whose jurisdiction you live?
