No its there.

Immigration letter original

Jomtien immigration rejects all copies from old passports. My last entry is in an old passport. So no copy of it provided.

Normally referred to as "Bank Letter"

Yes of course.

I called it immigration letter because when I go to the bank and ask for the letter I just say the words IMMIGRATION LETTER and that's always immediately understood.

Got me!

Thought I could get away not saying as I didn't even bother to read what they were.

These forms you do need to fill out a little bit of info and sign.

Looked it up.

They are:

Acknowledgement of penalties for overstay – STM 9.
Acknowledgment of responsibility to report changes in status – STM 2

It was the stm11 that I was trying to remember

Something that I do to help from year to year is to keep a file of exactly what happened each year.

For example this year I gave them a copy of my address report and it was handed back.

So presumably next year, don't even bother giving it in the first place.

From year to year there is usually something new to take a note of.

For me this year it was that for the very first time my updated bank bank done one day AFTER getting the bank letter was rejected.

I detailed that fun experience on another topic.

It would be advised to just bring everything even if it wasn’t necessary previously. Bring everything and then some, a few extra minutes of being overly prepared could potentially save a lot of time in the long run.

Yeah what I do is keep things that they might change their mind about in reserve rather than hand it to them.

For example a copy of my entry stamp from an old passport.

They don't wait it, but who knows, maybe in future they will.

For the address report I bring that in anyway so if they ask can make a new copy on the spot. Highly unlikely they'll ever ask for it. They've made it clear to me at the retirement desk that they have nothing to do with those.

For my condo I also hold copies in reserve of other pages of my chanote other thanthe map page and back in case they change their mind about wanting those.
Etc.

A copy of the entry stamp is part of the passport transfer stamps you mentioned. So, as you didn't exit and re-enter Thailand on your current passport, there's no other entry stamp of interest.

Correct. Of course, I'm aware that info is on the passport transfer stamps. I just didn't spell that out here. Still, it's understandable to assume that they might still want to see the actual original stamp even if in an old passport. They do not.

To add, what I've done here which I hope will be useful to some people is provide detailed info about what exactly was needed for MY specific situation.

Obviously, everyone has to look at their specific situations as the needed documents would vary based on that.

What I'm not doing here is to detail the documents for ALL of the possible situations.

For that, I suggest a look at the Pattaya City Expats Club website.

Entry card

Blank copies of the two extra forms (STM-2 & STM-9) are updated forms. The Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) has uploaded them and they can be downloaded (PDF) format from these links:

https://pcec.club/resources/STM-2%20ACKNOWLEDGEMENT%20OF%20CONDITIONS.pdf

https://pcec.club/resources/STM-9%20ACKNOWLEDGING%20PENALTIES.pdf

The Entry Card is the old TM.6, now replaced by the TDAC (online). If your last entry to Thailand was after its use was suspended, then no Entry Card is required (since my last entry was many years ago, I too have to provide a copy of it with each extension.

It seems to change yearly and different paperwork requested for them that I never needed before. I needed the updated DBD paperwork last year, but the two guys living near me said that they weren’t asked for it. Also they asked for a map, which luckily I had from years ago. Maybe I got someone having a bad day. We will see what happens this year. It’s not like we can change anything, but wish it was consistent.

This is the problem, if they didn't change the requirements farangs wouldn't look stupid and the staff would be less frustrated with us farangs.

I can hear the Immi staff asking, "What's wrong with these stupid farangs, don't they know what documents they need?!" We did know LAST year, this year who knows?!

I've always thought, after seeing numerous farangs standing in the queue for hours only to be turned away for lack of one document, why doesn't the immi office have some large signs OUTSIDE before people go in that states what documents you need for every--or most, visas. It would make things smoother for us AND them. Of course people would have to read the signs, that could be a problem.
