Currently watching the final round of The Open Championship, should finish just before the WC final kick-off, hope to stay awake for the result.

Voted for Argentina to win, only because I think Messi is one of the greatest players I've ever seen in 70 odd years, but think Spain have the players and team to win this after seeing off France in the semi's, been a few shockers this time round , so it's all to play for.

Messi the greatest player ever but not nearly at his peak.

But emotionally would love to see Messi's last world cup end with a win.

Well-deserved victory for Spain. At least Argentina won the silver, despite never being convincing throughout the tournament and playing dirty.

Well clearly the better team won in that that ugly far from beautiful game.

That said, it was the mistake of the getting a red card that really lost it for Argentina as Argentina would have probably won if it got to penalties.

The predictions here were right.

Spain won and Trump was booed at least moderately (but at different times than the trophy hand off). That makes sense as booing at the time of trophy hand off would be like booing Spain.
