Re-entered Thailand on 11 June, and using THIM notified my address. On 22 June submitted paperwork for 1 year extension of stay, again notifying my address. I know it doesn't really make much difference in my case, but I'm curious as to which date is used to calculate the 90 day report date?

Normally your extension doesn't change the date of your 90 day report so it's 89 days (date of arrival counts as 1st day of the 90 days) from the date you re-entered Thailand (11th June) which is September 9th unless you exit Thailand before then.

NB. I say "Normally" as some offices will (or at least used to) update your 90 day report for your 1st extension but generally it's 90 days from date of entry

90 report is only connected to extension for first one.

Assuming you were already on annual extensions then first reply has you covered.

I get Sept 8.

Adding 89 days to Thursday, 11 June 2026 results in Tuesday, 8 September 2026.

Hey, When you arrived into Thailand, you presented your passport to IMO. He entered your information as well as your THIM info. Then he proceeds to stamp your passport with arrival stamp.

That i \s the official date you start counting from.

What do you mean 'notifying my address'? Simply filling out a TM7 form (apply for extension), which includes listing your address, has nothing to do with the 90-day report.

In addition, if your immigration office had done a reset of your status re the 90-day reporting obligation, you would have been given the receipt of that 'update' which would inform you of the next due date. Since you didn't mention anything about that, best to assume nothing was done about resetting the calender on your 90-day status. Carry on!

Did your office give you a 90-day reporting date notification slip when you applied for your latest annual extension, stating that your next report was due on 22 June + 89 days (can't be bothered to work out what that might be)? If they did not, then, as already stated by @DrJack54 , your next due reporting date is 8 September (11 June + 89 days). Morever, in this case you won't be able to file your next report online, but only in person or by snail mail.

It's 90 days from the date of your visa extension, and then 90 days after that. You can file an extension a couple of days, maybe even a week, before that if you're not sure, but the 90-day expiry date is on the 90-day certificate. Every year, when I renew my Long-stay Extension, I just pay my Immigration Office THB 1K, and they mail me a new 90-day Extension about a week before it's due. I've done that for over 10 years.

Whilst your report is no doubt accurate it is by no means typical. Hence the OP should follow normal procedures. If he was given a new 90-day receipt when he did his annual extension then he would follow that, otherwise simply report 89 days after his last entry date. As for paying for the office to mail you a "90-day Extension" that sounds like something special at your particular office.

It is only 90 days from your visa extension IF the IO completed a 90 day report at the same time,

The above post confuses 90 day reporting with "extensions"

As an aside to the 90 day issue, putting your address on your arrival card which is part of THIM, is not the same as notifying them of your address which is done with a TM30. Prepare yourself for a fine if that's what you expected.

Post first hand experience and immigration office.

I never renew tm30 after trip to another province or trip abroad.

As per usual caveat immigration offices vary.

I am reading the renewed TM30 is due upon returning with in a day.

I am at CM and suspect this may not be enforced from my experience.

You can file 15 days before or 7 days after so there is a 21 day tolerance.

Just count 90 days on a calendar (there is one on your phone) and report on the day you end up with.

Apparently it is the 8th September posted above.

The consequence of missing the date window (late) is a 2000 Baht fine. As long as you don't make a habit of it Imm. don't seem to be worried much.
