Where/How did your TV-Profile image originate?: And, why?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Some of you seem to have come up with the strangest TV-profile images.

And, I would like to say “congratulations” to some of you, for your creativity.

No doubt, most members here are curious concerning where, and why, TV members find, and select, these images.

Even more curious, still, is the question: WHY TV-members chose these strange images to represent themselves on TV.

So then: Does anybody know?

Surely, it is just about-time that someone here asked this important question.

Best regards,

Gamma

It's a personal thing to those that care. Why do you keep calling Aseannow forums TV?

Most (all) members here never gave it a nanosecond of thought.

And you need a new hobby.

We have a number of TVs in our home, mostly Samsung and TCL brands, some have Android system and allow user profiles.

Mine's easy, simply pick my enjoyable hobby now, operating drone or photography. In the past, might be a photo from scuba diving.

Use to change it quite often on a local forum at Udon. Political or R&R related, any topical subject. Now I'm reserved and just don't give a sh!t.

David48 created mine, and it was much appreciated. Still is.

I don't really see the same camaraderie around the forum as we did, back in the day, Maybe I need new glasses. Or full glasses.

Back in the day, I was in a pub in Hong Kong talking to an acquaintance, and he was complaining that he had not brought his reading spectacles.

"They might have some behind the bar", I suggested.

"Do you have any glasses" he asked the barman, who looked at him blankly.

I can't believe I don't tell that story more often.

I wonder? Does a photo of Woody Guthrie have any significance when attached to the screen name of 'Folk Guitar '? Hmmm.... food for thought.

It's 4:19pm somewhere in the world. 😀

No more significant than a rouge cigar smoke’n Hello Kitty flying around in a p26 peashooter.

Mine's just a picture of my two favourite rides.

Mine is a pic of my favourite vehicle, sadly no longer in production.

One i is missing on your profile, Philip Habibi.

TCL & KIA — clearly, the judgment of a single person is too insignificant to deserve anyone's attention... until enough "single persons" start thinking the same way.

I had a Hummingbird skydiving canopy, which was probably the smallest series produced canopy available at the time. Small, but reliable, precise and fast. That came to mind when I chose Hummin as my nickname.

I was watching reruns of Danger Man when I made mine.

We have never driven our TCLs. To get back on topic, the profile of our TCLs is a modern flat screen, as all the CRT box types were obsolete I think before TCL started selling TVs.

Mine's a self-portrait.....
