If the Chinese really have come up with a portable split unit that requires no drilling then I want one. I rather suspect this is a fantasy though.

No drilling because they have a pipe going through a slightly opened window, with the gap sealed. I don't think it's a new concept, but getting more attention due to the European heatwave.

This looks like a precharged unit that I fitted into my attic 20 years ago. The unit is pre-charged but is is hardly "portable" I wonder about the security aspects of this. For Europe where you really only need it for one month year its seems over kill. Probably does do a better job than a true portable unit but then they are on the small side. And for this you need somewhere for the chiller unit.
