Hiroshi Nagai Brings City Pop’s Endless Summer to Bangkok

Japanese artist Hiroshi Nagai is presenting his first solo exhibition in Thailand at River City Bangkok. “Summer Dreaming” features the vivid swimming pools, palm trees, clear skies and mid-century architecture that helped define City Pop’s visual identity. The collection includes three archival pieces spanning four decades alongside four new paintings created specifically for the Bangkok exhibition. Visitors can explore the relationship between Nagai’s artwork and the Japanese music scene that made his album-cover designs internationally recognisable. Admission is free at RCB Galleria 1 from August 4 to September 4, 2026, with the exhibition open daily from 10am to 8pm.
