EV Charging at PTT

Featured Replies

Wifey wanted to refresh her car charging skills so for the first time this year we stopped at a PTT charging station.

Charged up to 75% then it stopped (I only knew as looked at BYD car app.).

Wandered over to the car and frustrated man said he had booked the charger.

My question is: can you just pull up outside the charging station, see that it's full, then book for a charge, that stops other people already charging?

What's the go?

Wifey wants to know as I'll be gone for a couple of months.

Of course you can, as long as that 'slot' is open. Why I like getting to the charger on the hour, or half hour. Then I know I'm good for almost half hour, which is usually more than enough.

They charge 10 THB a minute, for overstaying now. They also send a msg, stating need to unplug, if cable is reserved. Need to pay attention on the half and top of the hour.

No you can’t. I tried it, if someone is charging it won’t let you kick them off. It needs a delay for your booking.

I think you misunderstood what happened. He booked the next slot, while carlyai's car charging, had not reached it yet. It stopped charging at the allotted slot booked.

Why the guy was frustrated, as charging cable blocked during his reserved slot. carlyai's wife simply didn't notice the alert she got to unplug, and the charging was stopped.

Our charging sessions have stopped because someone reserved the next charging slot. If the next charging spot is open, you can book it while someone is charging.

At EV Station Pluz hubs, they do have dediccated reserve & walk in units. I'm guessing you can't reserve the walk in units, since labeled as such.

I think we’re talking at cross purposes, you can’t book the next slot if somebody is already charging, I think the message I got was something like it had to be an hour or an hour and a half in front of the current time
