Kuala Pilah police probe viral teenage girls’ fight

Police in Negeri Sembilan are investigating a fight involving three teenage girls after footage of the incident at Dataran Melang in Kuala Pilah spread online.

Police inquiry under way

Kuala Pilah district police chief Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said the inquiry centres on a 15-year-old schoolgirl who went to the location with her brother to meet two acquaintances. The meeting followed a disagreement linked to the circulation of the girl’s photograph on social media.

Police said a scuffle then broke out involving the complainant and the two other individuals. The teenager was injured and returned home with her family. The girl and her father subsequently visited the home of one of the people involved to discuss what had happened before a police report was lodged.

Video prompts wider concern

The viral recording showed the girls pulling at one another and kicking during the confrontation. Muhamad Mustafah said officers are treating the matter seriously and are working to establish the cause of the fight and identify everyone involved.
