My simple reply to the first two posts in this thread is, practice what you preach. The worst offenders in fact, are often your staff, in addition to them supporting some of the other offenders. So you end up in a situation wherein some members seem to get a free pass no matter what they do. Unless you address this, you are going to keep suffering the same issues. I don't much care as to whether you agree with me or not nor as to whether what I write here breaks some forum ''rule''. As has been said before "sometimes the law is an ass". The truth is what matters to most. No one wants anyone gaslighting, cheating and lying to them. Not on a forum. Not anywhere, unless they prefer fantasy to real life. The liars, cheaters, gaslighters and fake posters are in the ascendency on this forum. To pretend otherwise will be your ruin. I understand that you are running a commercial operation. You need to decide if you want your members to be real people. If you want to control the narrative, just ban membership and AI bots having conversations with themselves.. What I write is nothing new. You will see conversations with regard to exactly the same behaviour for years. You cannot keep blaming the members. They are often normal people with diverse opinions. If you cannot respect your membership, then you don't deserve to have any. You are no better than any other poster here. Talking down to them and abusing them will result in negative publicity and negative feelings. People will no longer respect you. I've had my run-ins in the past with you too...losing your temper. So how can you dictate to others as to how they should express themselves? You are fighting a losing battle. Find new respect for your members or just run automated systems where you can control everything. I've also had situations where supposedly normal members know things that only a mod or Admin would know. For instance an IP address. How do you think that translates to your membership? Untrustworthy. There's no point in asking for feedback and having everyone being too afraid to discuss the real problems. Your staff, their bias and certain posters given free rein.
