Surely This is Now Unequivocally a Cult

So, a mid term Republican convention. And they play a video lauding Trump, saying God created him and makes it sound like the second coming of Christ.

Yes, I know the video was made a couple of years ago originally, but it was played at the convention. I mean what kind of sycophancy is this? And if this isn't now a full blown cult I don't know what is.

"On June 14th, 1946, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, 'I need a caretaker,' so God gave us Trump."

And then the Messiah himself gave a great slurry speech encouraging people to swear allegiance to the "greatest president of all time", and to "cheat like hell" in the mid terms whether registered to vote or not.

It is lunacy, nothing less than a cult.

Yes of course it is.

DeTrumpification would be real beyatch but we're all gonna be too busy serving our AI masters to worry about that.

Saint Donald. Total revisionist history, a complete reformation of his entire career, and a total erasure of his past crimes, moral terpitude, and a total and complete willingness to overlook a lifetime of moral bankruptcy.

Most of the goons supporters just can't handle critique of Trump, they immediately clam up, get defensive and start making it personal. Instead of behaving like rational intellectuals and debating policy they just start throwing out nonsense, accusations that I've never criticized my own party, or that I get paid to be critical of Trump. That is not only ridiculous, it is inane. I wish somebody would offer to pay me to criticize Trump. I would spend my whole day doing it.

Criticism and open mindedness is what independent thinkers engage in, and it sets them apart from dogmatic subjects of a wannabe king. I invite you to reflect on that for just a moment.

With many people, once they got attached to a theory, it was hard to get them detached. They’d screen out unhelpful facts, invent favorable ones, and ignore contradictions in their own claims. Look at those Sandy Hook, multiple fraud convictions, and Jan. 6th truthers, babbling about false flags and crisis actors and all the rest. When people were motivated enough to believe something, they were going to believe it no matter what. There was no such thing as a bridge too far.

You can't deny the parallels of the utterly deranged persecution against him by nutty lefties, and an impossible comeback from the warfare BS. You can see why lots consider it a 2nd coming. He saved the world from woke tyranny.

Id like to check his hands for stomata before coming to a conclusive decision.

I would say the "cult" is the political side that was wrong on every important issue while mocking those that were correct for having thought issues through for themselves.
