Last year I got a non-immigrant type O visa on family grounds, which required 2 photos inside the home and 2 photos outside the home that showed both the house number and a significant part of the house. Last year the pair of photos were very similar and cropped to show primarily family.

This year similar photos but this time showed more of the house. Immigration rejected 2 photos because they were too similar to the other two photos, meaning about same size taken from same angle, they claimed the photos should be taken at different time/angle. Are there specific requirements published for these photos?

I've never seen any requirement like you have described. And of course, all Immigration Offices are different.

We had a family pic outside in front of the house with the house number. A pic inside eating dinner. A pic sitting on the bed. A pic outside with the dogs. All were accepted without any problem.

It would appear that under strict rules an immigration officer can do as they jolly well please, ie making it up as they go along.

Did the doggie pic show house number?, but at least yours were all different time/place.

Which IM office ?.

I had a similar experience last year at Pathum Thani, they wanted to see the full image of the front of the house not only the number and front door with us standing together.

IM office also said no need for photo of us together sitting on the bed.

My initial photos were rejected because I was wearing shorts, so I submitted photos from last year's extension, and the immigration officer accepted them.

As they jolly well please!

Not family but marriage.....application rejected as the photo, with us stood in front of the house, was clipped off one end by about a metre.......how we laughed on the three hour trip back home to take a new ****ing photo

This has been reported previously, where the photo of in front of house with number did not show past extremities of house.

Frankly it's just another stunt from immigration to make things as difficult as possible.

Some posters suggest just a push from immigration to use of agent.

I don't get it.

Been there, done that.

Now we just take heaps of photo's just in case.

Pathum Thani wanted a lot more photos last year than previously required.

There is/was a document on their website, I'll try to find it.

Yes.....no brainer.....(but never though of that)....take a mountain of photos all from every possible aspect and say........... there you go.....pick what you want....555

May I ask if you print them in black & white or in color or you go to a proper photo shop to create proper photos? This part is killing me, too.

Last set I submitted were colour on glossy photo-paper......guess what?......all rejected. Colour was fine, but they wanted ordinary A4 type paper.

Having said that......that was my IO Chaiyaphum, and next year the requirement might be black and white on glossy paper....5555

I had 2 photos per A4 sheet printed in colour on standard paper at the village shop.

Leave an inch or so gap inbetween for the office stamp and signature.

I did my extension at Udon Thani.

Presuming that the OP / family members were wearing different clothes in this year's photos to last year photos, and the house / house number can clearly be seen / identified, the Imm Officer would seem to being difficult.

We do the same photos every year. The four of wear different clothes, stand in different positions and my kids look different year to year.

EXTERNAL

1. One photo of all of us stood around the house number.

2. One photo of me in front of house but showing house number

3. One photo of my wife and I stood showing the mooban sign (Imm Officer request in recent years)

INTERNAL

One photo of all 4 of us in the:

4. living room

5. At dining room table

6. Sitting on our bed.

That's 6 photos we put on to white A4 paper, 2 photos per page, so 3 pages.

I print my name on the top of each page.

We have (1) had the photos printed in colour at the local camera shop (6 photos x 2 copies) and glued on A4 paper, and (2) I've inserted the photos in colour in Word and printed from the computer. The Imm Officer always accepted the copies using (2) method but have moaned about quality of the colour in the print out, so this year I reverted to (1) method.

Must have done +20 Support Thai Wife extensions. Probably on only 3 times has the Imm officer commented on the photos I've provided, usually all ok for them.

I don't think so; we take about 4 inside and 4 outside and say they can use whichever ones they wish.

According to one of my mates when he asked what the photos should look like they showed him mine!
