I was notified that 3BB had recently been hacked. i hadn't heard or seen anything about this, but found these articles from mid- September 2026:

I wonder how much customer data, or internet security has been compromised.

Well the intrusion was discovered early June with no mention of how long it had been in place so chances are good if you have had no issues. However one can only hope they have cleaned up the issue at 3BB/AIS.

Apparently quite a few ISPs have been hacked recently especially in the US.

Perhaps be more aware of potential phising emails where your data may have potentially enabled a more targeted attempt.

The easiest extra step you could take, if you don't do it already, is to use a well regarded VPN to access any banking sites which will give you an extra layer of security.

I also deliberately avoid the ISP DNS and use Quad 9. Equally you could use Cloudflare, Open DNS etc and set those up on your router or just on your pc.
