Shanghai Inn In Chinatown Bkk

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am considering staying at this hotel.

Anyone know if this is in a good location for restuarants, bars etc?

Is there a Starbucks in short walking distance?

Any other feedback on the place would be interesting.

Cheers.

Myself and Mrs H2o stay at the Shanghai a lot. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are great and they have free wi-fi. It is also ideally situated on Yaowarat for good restaurants etc. Dont know about a starbucks but for most other things ideal. A taxi by meter to or from airport is around 180-200 baht and is within walking distance of the staion and underground systems. Hope this helped, Dunc :o

Thanks for the feedback.

I decided to use some hotel points and stay for free at the Holiday Inn Silom this time.

However, I went to see the Shanghai Inn for interest sake. The reception staffer gave me a look at two rooms. The rooms are charming, clean.

The location is great if you like good chinese food...especially seafood. May have problems with traffic if you intend to use it as a base to explore all BKK.

Overall sems like good value for money.

May try it out nextime.
