Working Abroad And Living In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello all.

I plan on working out of Thailand and returning about every 2 to 3 months less or more, I am married to a thai and have children there.

How does the visa aork in this case,,Any person on here have experience.

Thanks

Having 'permission to stay' does not mean you need to be here full time

so should not be a problem.

Naka.

This is exactly what I'm doing :o

I'm employed by a Hong Kong company and registered for HK tax (although I don't pay any being non-resident). Work in India, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam. Bank in Luxembourg. British by birth, Thai wife, no kids.

I've been getting multi-entry Non-O visas from wherever I happen to be working as I can't guarantee being in Thailand when extension renewal comes round, never any problem getting visas (UK, Malaysia and India).

I'm 50 next year, at which point I may go for a retirement extension using my offshore salary as 'pension', the renewals are easier than marriage, taking only one day :D

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Maybe this should be in the Visa forum?
