Don't post photos of your wife on the internet on an anonymous forum. It's irresponsible to your wife. (recent comment on me posting some pics)

MY wife has so many photos on the internet you wouldnt believe it!! Many of her friends have thousands of photos so is this irresponsible? I have found that many of her friends have page after page on my space and plastered everywhere they can, they seem to love doing this. The tey jazz up their pages with puppy dog type cartoon images they just love the ineternet

Everytime they go on a day trip there will appear a set of photos.

So is it irresponsible even though she knows I post and doesnt mind me psoting photos????

I knew a girl who used to use internet chatrooms a lot, MSN etc, she got chatting to some Western guy, sent him her pic etc, this went on for a few months, regular chatting etc.

Then when he started to want a little more, by way of webcams etc he turned nasty when refused, he took some of the pics of her and doctored them in Photoshop.

He had a list of her e-mail contacts from when she would forward a post to many people, including him.

They each recieved pics of this girl in various pornographic situations, her face had been edited onto the body of these girls in Porn Pics, some of her contacts were also her family members. She was really upset, and this azzhole just dissapeared from the chatroom scene or probably just created a new name.

Sukanya Condo, I very nearly sent you a PM yesterday myself, warning of the same problem.

It's the way it goes mate, lot of wierd people out there.

It's one's own choice and the irresponsible label is unfair.

Although one possible outcome relevant to this part of the world is unscrupulous scam artists taking your wife's photo(s) and pretending to be her on internet dating sites, chat sites, etc. Unsuspecting folks half a world a way are sometimes scammed into sending funds for long distance phone calls, internet shop fees, sometimes even computers and plane tickets (naturally your wife never shows up to meet the scammed individual half a world away, because it's not her to begin with).

That said, that can happen from anyone having an old school geocities personal website, although most personal websites are fairly low traffic hits wise. When it becomes slightly higher risk is when you post photos on "popular" websites, like web forums or networking type sites (hi5, myspace, etc.). In this case, TV... a magnet for all kinds of folks, from the upstanding to the shady... one group being expats who are low on funds, desperate to remain in Thailand, and just itchin' to do something unscrupulous should the opportunity arise.

I know a guy who runs porno sites and after he split up with his wife put her intimate photos on one of the sites as revenge.

He then told everyone he had done so.

It's funny, but whenever I saw her after that, I couldn't help myself thinking of all the different household objects I had seen protruding from her bottom, and as such, normal interaction was difficult.

Couldn't she have sued him for every dollar he had ?

Ya that was me. I believe it is irresponsible on an anonymous forum yes. Anyone can look at them. Probably no harm will come of it but I don't see the point of showing pictures of your wife so you can show off her skin color to a bunch of people you don't even know. Just my opinion. Do what you will. It matters little to me I just think it's a general rule to live by.

Yes points taken but the world is full of nutters and a bit like the responses to terrorism I think they have gone over the top everyone isnt a terrorist or pervert. It was a nice pic on a nice day great colours and a biggggg smile and to show the "all thai women are dark haired bar girls after your money brigade" they arent all the same and are in fact a tiny minority. Also shows how nice Thailand can be . The wife will still post her pics of trips everywhere along wioth all her friends but then she knows the risks. Similar to photos of kids you CANT take in the Uk now for being branded a perv, cant video your own kids school play etc.

The alternative I blur out her face just ruins it. We'll take the risks for now.

Maybe it was the original post that prompted this one, thought my wife did not know I posted them.

Have they had many sad weirdos here over the years then??

She took it all off him in the divorce settlement!

I think they were swinger types anyway, and she had probably consented previously or perhaps her photos had been on the website all the time and he just though it was the opportune moment to let everyone know!

"You could park a bus up there" was the general concensus. :D

Maybe that's why he split with her. Maybe sex with her was like having sex with a toilet seat (strictly speaking of size). :o:D

Yes I am aware of this but we have a website that "anyone" can look at too and we are both on that. The world is going crazy

I wasnt showing off her skin colour in fact she is quite dark the photo is misleading on that respect, it was a nice photo on a nice day and there are too many people saying many Thais just want your money etc etc. Shes a nice girl and so are all of her friends I have met they do not fit many of the stories told here.

I appreciate your concern and accept the risks involved.

I'd draw the line at bringing my wife of family (in discussion or photographs) to Thai visa.

Yes I have a wife, I might mention her/us or some minor detail but I'd never give anything specific.

TV is sadly full of guys only too eagre to denegrate women and snide remarks.
