It seems Thailands Organising Committee for this years games has been trying to sell the broadcasting rights to media corp's when it had not right to do so and has been stopped.

Apparently the broadcasting rights lie in the hands of each individuial NOC (National Olympic Committee) who normally give the rights away to their local broadcasters free.

The Thai's had been negitiating to sell them on their own for the whole games with a number of broadcasters.

The SEA Games Federation held a press conference in BKK to state they held all the rights and the Thai SGOC was shot down.

They might and probably wil be sold in the future but it seem Thailand was being naughty and trying to sell something they did not own - TiT
