Internet Jpegs Onto Sd Card

Featured Replies

I want to put some Internet images onto my Exilim camera's SD card for portability. I can drag and drop on to the E: drive (SD card) and they appear. But when I insert the card into the camera they do not. Why is this? Image sizes are tiny (100kb) compared to the camera's own (1.8 MB). Or do cameras only recognise the images they took? Thanks.

Are you using the same fine naming convention that your camera uses?

If not, it won't find them.

Also, most cameras also have an index file that stores the names of the current images.

Is there one of these on your card?

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Also they might need to be in specific folders to show up. Why don't u use the camera and take a few pictures to see where they are stored and how they are stored.

Yep, renaming as CIMG0001 etc. solved the problem. Thanks.
