French / Chinese - Work Permit 1 Year Multi-entry

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My girlfriend (Chinese) and me (French) are going to work in the same company in Thailand, we are actually in China.

We would like to know:

- How we both could get the 1 year visa multi entry.

- Where do we have to make it (in thailand ?, or is it possible from China)

- What are the papers to be provided (from us and from company).

Thanks,

Arno

It must be done at a Royal Thai Consulate and you will have to ask them directly what paperwork is required - many Consulates will not issue a multi entry visa without a work permit so in that case you would have to obtain single entry and then later get the multi entry. You will need a non immigrant B visa.

PRC citizens need to apply for Non-Immigrant visa's in their place of residence ( in this case I presume that is China. ) A French citizen can apply in China.

Well, thai consulate said that we both have to apply directly in Thailand, they have absolutely no informations on any type of visa except short term business and tourist visa.

You need to obtain the "short term business visa" at the Consulate. You use that to enter and obtain the work permit.

TO Arnaud - i think we know each other ! were you in Xian Chengdu and Kunming during 2004 ? Import / Export ? Ray
