From the Honda Warranty Booklet:

ตรวจเช็ค [dtrùat chék] - to examine or "check"

การบำรุงรักษารรถยนต์ [gaan bam-roong rák-săa rót-yon] - to provide maintenance

แต่งเครื่องรถ - tune up car engine

In many countries/cultures, auto mechanics may have their own jargon which is not necesssarily familiar to the general public. Best to bring a couple of written phrases for what you want done.

I also found a very good English to Thai mechanical dic. At B2S. If anyone wants the ISBN, let me know.

Another word that can be used if you are taking your car to get work done or get something fixed is ซ่อม - sorm - to fix. ie ซ่อมรถ - fix the car.

Cheers.

Actually, can use ซ่อม for anything that needs fixed.
