zenbangkok
Not currently in Thailand but back again soon. If you have a business in the UK and send items from Thailand for sale, presumably being as tax will be paid in UK, plus import duty and also all paperwork done in Thailand. This is not classed as working in Thailand? I'm sure this is a very easy question and any help would be appreciated. I have read before about export licenses but presumably if items bought from wholesaler with export license then their license covers it? So to sum up, if I am in Thailand, sending items to the UK can this be done on a tourist visa? Thank you.
Darknight
i've been told the same about this setup by several wholesalers. unless they ship containerloads most shipments are done on the license of the shipping company. A prerequisite is that they need to pack everything themselves because they then are legally accountable for the contants of the shipment. I saw many farangs dealing as a sourcing agent between suppliers and shipping company's. I think it would be a hard case to make that you are actually working , unless you admit to it yourself. On the other hand if thailand wants to get rid of you they will regardless of how good a citizen you might be
