Darlek Posted July 30, 2004 Share Posted July 30, 2004 Two arrested over sex slavery July 30, 2004 TWO Sydneysiders have been arrested on sexual slavery charges after a Thai woman was allegedly lured to Australia to work in brothels against her will. Australian Federal Police (AFP) today arrested a 40-year-old woman from Granville and a 54-year-old Sydney man on sexual servitude charges. The woman will also face charges of exercising ownership of a slave, conducting a sexual servitude business and detaining a person for advantage, an AFP spokesman said. Thai police also arrested five people in Bangkok today as part of the joint operation launched in May after a woman was allegedly forced to work in two Sydney brothels, he said. taxidriver Posted July 31, 2004 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Exactly,These idiots do ruin it for legit people who want to take their wife or husbands over.Meanwhile the laws get stricter.I hope they rot in there but unfortunetly they will be kicking back watching home & away on their coloured tv and being fed 3 times a day.They might even do a trade or a degree,i'm glad i'm not paying tax there anymore.
