Approximate Value For Honda Wave

I'll be leaving Thailand very soon and just want an idea how much I can expect to sell my motorbike for. I have a 100cc Honda Wave. It's about 9 months old with about 5k kilometers on it. It's in superb condition and has never had any problems.

I paid about 36k for it new, how much could I expect to get for it now?

Dealer wont give you that.. To 'get rid' fast you will be 20k or even less.. 25k for a private sale to someone that wants one..

Just saw a late 2006 Nuovo MX in pristine condition go for 17k.. 3 almost new airblades (600kms on one) for 30k a piece.. When people are leaving they need it gone.

A friend of my'n, who is a piss-pot of the highest order, recently crashed his 'motosai'. It was a monthly rental but he still had to pay for the repairs. What needed to be done?

Well, basically, he wrote the bike off! But the renter (owner) had it rebuilt. Essentially, he took out all the moving parts & re-installed on a 'repaired' chassis.

If this were me, I would not be riding this 'motosai'.

Thais are clever when it comes to making things look good but unfortunately, they don't appear to be very adept when it comes to the 'fine detail' of getting things right.

The cost of a new bike, with at least 5 years warranty, is between 70 000 & 90 000 Baht.

I really don't trust Thai mechanics.
