A bit wierd that, never tried to do it before and I find the image of myself formed is like an out of focus photograph.

I guess its because that when you picture others the information comes directly from one part of the brain, you recall their actual face but when trying to picture yourself the information is coming from all sorts of places within the brain.

Thats my guess anyway.

I have much difficulty trying to picture my face "from scratch". But if I think of a particular photograph of myself, then it's no problem. Picturing other people is also no problem.

I simply meant I tend to see a picture of my wife before falling asleep...I'd expect it's more common to see/think of your partner than yourself.
