Could also be an allergy to something in the air. Before I came to Thailand I never had any problems with anything although my brother did (had allergies to everything). When I first came I'd get something like very sharp and quick insect bite as if someone gave me a prick with a very sharp needle.I'd give it rub or a scratch and the area would come up in red rash. It still happens occasionally and I take a anti-histamine for it.

I seem to be attacked by the same bug. 9 bites in the last two days I can't find a single mosquito in my place. I checked all my screens and they're all tight. The bites are causing the area to swell up as well. Is it some crazy Thai invisible mosquito?

well i know for one

there is a little brownish greenish redish (not sure a thai pointed one out on the bed once) bug very hard to see and it bites

this could be the cultprit

i supect there are more

i would love to get them under control but i dont know how

one thai told me there are bugs that come out and bite after the rain

gus

do the antihistamines help?

cause that sounds a lot like what i experieced

i doubt its airborne pollution

i suspect a small insect

however an antihistamine might help the allergic reaction

most antihistamines can make one drowsey

i know when i scratch it it can turn into a nasty rash with red spots

maybe even if i dont

i think the ants often bite not once but a few times leaving a number of welts that last for days

mosquitos seem tame compared to these other bugs

mosq bites go away quickly for me
