Hi All,

Am being offered a choice of the top model Thai built Toyota Camry (2.4) and a Thai built Volvo XC 90 petrol version. Both cars are year 2007. Need to make up my mind in the next few days.

Which one would you choose and why. Would especially like to hear from Volvo XC90 owners/drivers.

Thanks.

That are two completely different cars.

But first perhaps, the top of the line of the Camry models is not the 2,4 liter but the 3,5 liter.

The Volvo XC90 is a big and heavy car (2,2 tons) with a lot of space (7 seats) and rather low mileage. I get an average of 16 liters per 100 km. It is medium powerful with the 6 cylinder and rather weak in the diesel version.

The Toyota Camry is very well equipped, but perhaps the engine is not at the same level as the rest.

If you have a big family with 2 or 3 kids, take the Volvo, otherwise I would choose the Camry.
