Racial tensions high in Cincinnati as 7th brawl suspect arrested

'A powder keg': Racial tensions high in Cincinnati as 7th brawl suspect arrested

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The Cincinnati police union has indicated that arrests of the Caucasian individuals involved in a downtown brawl in July may not occur, as police and prosecutors have deemed it "extremely difficult to establish probable cause against a victim."

This development comes as a seventh person, 32-year-old Gregory Wright, was arraigned on Tuesday and is now in jail on charges of aggravated riot and aggravated robbery. The incident has heightened racial tensions in a city already under pressure, as all seven arrested individuals are African-American, while none of the six Caucasian individuals, labeled as victims by police, have been charged.

The original "brawl" video that shows the beat-down of a white woman and older white man.

on the ground and a pack giving kicks to the head.

Yup, it happens in more places than Thailand.  What's surprising is that none of the assailants have been charged with attempted murder for stomping the head of a helpless victim on the ground.  On second thought, I guess it really isn't surprising.

Obviously the real victims aren't the ones on the ground. It's those that put them there. This is the level of thinking the loony left has created.

And this is what three of the big U.S. TV networks WEREN'T saying:

Nothing to See Here: Networks Ignore Disturbing, Viral Brawl in Cincinnati

Given the victims appeared to be white and the mob black, ABC, CBS, and NBC have steered clear given the clear racial breakdown and not given it a single second on their flagship morning or evening newscasts.

In contrast, the Fox News Channel, Newsmax, and NewsNation recognized the seriousness of this story, providing multiple segments since video went viral.

It's a perfect example of "woke" ideology in action.  A consistent claim from "woke" critics has been U.S. media gives too much prominence to Black crime, especially when the victims are white.

The police chief wasn't to excited by the stomping ! She kinda blames it on the media not knowing the whole story.

She was worried the videos on social media would frighten away whites from  visiting a music festival and the entertainment area of downtown Cincinnati.   The festival is important for the local economy, especially minority-owned businesses.

She, and subsequently Black community leaders, didn't want people to believe it was an unprovoked attack and that whites would be safe as long as they didn't do something stupid.  It's the risk of encountering unprovoked street crime that in the past made U.S. cities seem so dangerous.  Downtown Cincinnati has fought hard to kick that image.

Colored me surprised.

If it was 7 white folks beating a black guy, you know they'd be charged with a hate crime, a more serious felony charge.

An update:

Cincinnati felon with 22 prior arrests indicted for allegedly snatching victim’s chain during viral beatdown

A seventh suspect has been indicted in the July 26 Cincinnati beatdown that caused a national firestorm after going viral on social media.

Gregory Wright, 32, has been charged with aggravated riot and felony aggravated robbery, according to jail records.

Wright had 22 previous arrests, but walked on most of them.  He was convicted of trafficking heroin in 2014

Ghetto people acting like Ghetto people.  Did you expect anything different?

Perhaps the victim will get a George Floyd equivalent statue.

This smells like a Fox charade.  No one outside the MAGA-sphere will touch it

Why didn't they bring back the fake Black Panthers?

Are you  saying no assault took place that night in Cincinnati?  All the local Black leaders acknowledge the assault took place, but they say the white guy provoked it.

Another update:

Victim in viral Cincinnati street brawl now charged in case, police say

An unidentified 45-year-old White man faces disorderly conduct charges for July 26 downtown melee

A man whom police identified as a victim in the violent street brawl in Cincinnati that left several people injured last month has been charged, investigators said.

The unidentified 45-year-old White man is charged with disorderly conduct, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, for his alleged role in the July 26 melee in the city's downtown.

Details were sparse in the news article, but elsewhere it was reported he had been charged with disorderly conduct for using a racial slur, not for fighting.

The main suspect in the Cincinnati beatdowns is really catching it.  One way or another, he'll be spending a lot of time in jail.

Cincinnati beatdown suspect indicted on federal drug conspiracy charges

A suspect described by prosecutors as "the man who started" the viral July 26 downtown Cincinnati beatdown faces new legal trouble, this time with the federal government.

Jermaine Mathews, 39, has been indicted on federal drug charges, the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio announced in a Monday afternoon release.

Hello, Mr Trump -- I think we've found the problem. How about we go back to "three strikes and you're put away for good." No wonder we need so many to patrol the DC streets -- we have to keep rearresting the same thugs over and over.
