I have a couple Krugerands that I want to turn into cash. I could sell them here in America and then exchange the dollars into baht, but I would loose a little on the exchange rate.

Is it easy to sell Krugerands in Thailand, specifically Pattaya? Anyone one know how the price paid in Thailand gold shops would compare with coin shops here in America?

Oh and is it legal to take gold out of the USA and into Thailand?

I had some Krugerands that I had sent from the US that was collecting dust. I tried many different banks and none would except it. Ended up giving them to a friend to take back to England to sell for me, and even there he had to search a while. Not a good idea to try bringing them here, IMHO.

I am sure that you will find a number of people on this board who are more than willing to relieve you of this problematic situation.

Actually is there anywhere in Thailand where you can buy (and since the OP wants to know--sell) them?
