When I was at the Immigration in Isarn, I managed to read an upside down warning for the officer to look out for people who worked for the British Embassy.

I phoned a friend who worked there and he confirmed that they were only getting 1 month extensions to their visas. What's going on? Have you noticed any anti-UK feelings because of the refusal to extradite Toxin?

Wow, then being British and from Chiang Mai should make me seem extra suspicious! :D:D

It makes sense in an abstract kinda way. Why would the Thai government, given its present state of mind, want to entertain the idea of an English language school in Thailand that is operated by foreigners who are easily replaced by local staff and local businessmen. And don't anyone dare to say the word quality to me in response!

You obviously mean local "foreign" staff & local "foreign" businessmen. If this is what you mean then you'll also understand why "native speakers" are preferred & in demand. And yes, it is to do with quality (generally).

If you obviously think that then you are obviously correct.
