Thank you Ordered already - "sung laew khrub" Month-by-month - "khaa deuan thao rai khrup?" (I'll pretend I didn't see the next two...) As for why people use an interrogative phrase "when they don't want to really know," why should one say "what's happening?" when they don't really want to know either? What's the difference? Or why do some people say "How are you doing?" when they don't care?

Thank you Month-by-Month - When enquiring about room/flat to be rented - duen-taw-duen Herpes - Do you still have a herpes outbreak? ??? ยังมีโรคเริ มระบาดอยู่หรือเปล่า Yung Mii Roke Rerm Rabad Yoo Ruh Plao (~Still have herpes outbreak happening or not) Ref. if you want to know the different kinds of herpes: โรคเริม for Herpes simplex virus type 1 = HSVI Herpes simplex virus type 2 = HSV2 เริมที่อวัยวะเพศ (Herpes genitalis) เริมที่ริมฝีปาก (herprs labialis หรือ fever blister) Why do people ask "pai nai" (go where) when they dont want to really know. Cant they say something else?? Perhaps Pen yangai (whats happening? i never hear this). I'd say the West's version of "How are you doing?" is asked when people really don't want to know the answer to either. It is more like a polite and cultural way to interact with others. Indeed "Pen Yang Ngai" is very commom. Also its shorter version "Pen Ngai". Like "How goes?"
