Ordered already - "sung laew khrub"

Month-by-month - "khaa deuan thao rai khrup?"

(I'll pretend I didn't see the next two...)

As for why people use an interrogative phrase "when they don't want to really know," why should one say "what's happening?" when they don't really want to know either? What's the difference? Or why do some people say "How are you doing?" when they don't care?

I'd say the West's version of "How are you doing?" is asked when people really don't want to know the answer to either. It is more like a polite and cultural way to interact with others.

Indeed "Pen Yang Ngai" is very commom. Also its shorter version "Pen Ngai". Like "How goes?"
