Samui Beaches, August Low Tide

Featured Replies

Never been to Samui in August but i cannot believe that even Chaweng and Lamai will be without sea due to low tide.

On local TV i watched 4 groups of tourists that were trying to get their money back because they were in Samui in August and there were no beach....Unfortunately no mention of resort and area.

can anybody recognize from the photo the location?

Could not make out the location - but guess the people complained that there was no sea! And not no beach. This summer we had amazingly high water in north of Lamai - less moon landscape than in other summers. There are several reefs around Samui which protect the coast during high water as the waves are breaking before reaching the coast in full swing. It is still nature... and there are two sides of the medal. Jet skis have to be behind the reefs.

Trying to get money back seems to be a kind of a sport nowadays. If the hotel is o.k. but the surroundings are not as expected they try.
