It's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay you. Bought a moped once for 500 pounds, guy had to leave the country the next day. No idea of its value. Advertised it for 875 pounds and slowly dropped the price. Sold for 750 pounds a month later

Well, I want to sell it to a friend of my wife's and as no one thinks its worth more than 550,000, I think we'll give it to him for 500,000 if he wants it. One thing I'm very happy with is how used car prices today are much more in line with the US and Europe. There was a time in Thailand when used car prices were very high, they really kept there value to the point where there was no reason not to buy new. It's good to see you can get a relatively new car in good condition, 4 years old, for about 40% of the purchase price. I'm looking for a good towing vehicle to pull a 5,000 lb. boat and also getting a new CR-V for the wife.

I think theres the compression effect from so many newer cars coming onto the market, it takes time to change the mindset and values but its happening.. Its another reason why I think many people who feel just buy new and you hardly lose anything wont get it so much thier way on resale in a few years.. So many people (Thais) buying on credit thats not affordable also..

The low end of the market hasnt seen the compression effect tho.. The 200k and under end is still barren of much thats worth buying..
