In the September 17th issue of Time magazine, there's a chart on page 10 which shows a map of the world with the title "How Free is Your Country?

A group called Worldwide Governance Indicators has ranked all the countries in the worldby such things as; the amount of freedon citizens have to voice opinions and to select a government. Here is a selection of some of the countries and their rankings - plus some comments from the peanut gallery known as brahmburgers;

Best: Denmark (my birth place) at 100%

Worst: (no surprise) Burma at 0%

All of western Europe plus canada and Australia scored in the 90% range.

The U.S. scored 83.7%

Russia: 24%

China was near the bottom at 4.8%

Neither Thailand, nor any other S.E. Asian country scored better than 50%.
