Lindy hop and Belly dance

I'm Angela from Spain.I will be in Bangkok until March 2008 with my boyfiend. I'm interested in dancing Lindy hop. Anybody knows a place where to go?. I' m interested as well in learn belly dance in a place cheaper than Rumpuree Academy.

I'm throwing a party that you could appear at. Just wear a veil and call yourself "Fatimah". When I clap my hands, enter stage right shaking your stuff.

I will ply my guests with hookah pipes and turkish delights. Later, you might be required to perform intimate acts with a donkey. Is this ok?

I prefer you don't have any intimate acts with that donkey if he is the one who's throwing this party !

Lookup Bangkok Dance when you get here. They have studios all over Bangkok. Don't know about the Lindy Hop or belly dancing... but you can learn/practice swing and all of the major ballroom dances there. Learned to tango with my wife there.

p.s. if you didn't already know, ...it takes two to tango. (or else it costs a bit more)

Thank you very much for the information. It means that thais are mad just for Salsa, and they are good at that. Tango is ok but I prefer belly dance-I don't no if exist thai belly dance- or swing.

I don't think there is Thai belly dancing;cause they don't have bellys at the first place

Glenn Miller and Ray Charles tones make me feel fantastic even if am caught in a traffic jam for 3 hours!

By the way, have you been living in Bangkok for a long time?. Are you a man or a woman? .Sorry if I' m gossiping, it is just for make social life. Sorry as well for my English. In my country we speak four different languages, but not English.

Oh,am sorry I just noticed your post now!

I've been living in Bangkok for a few years now ( long enough to know the way back to my house even if am ).

One of my friends told me once you can only tell the man from a woman if they (get pregnant and give birth); as I remember I had been to the delivery op-room years ago ,so I guess am a woman (But living here long enough makes me say: who knows and who cares if am this or that ??!!)

Am not a native-English speaker either ! But in my country they don't speak (4 or any) language at all because they are quite well at . So who needs languages?!

Angela: I am a bit old to take this sport up but I am certainly available to spectate. Please advise where and when.

While i know its a couple of years late, but for anyone else that is looking for Lindy Hop or Swing Dancing in Bangkok, theres Bangkok Swing which do classes with rumpuree and social dancing on thursdays.

Its kinda against the rules to post links to sites and whatnot, but its essentially bangkokswing dot com, and theres info about facebook groups and the like.

Hope that helps you or anyone else looking for Lindy Hop and Swing dancing in Bangkok in the future!
