Malaysia offers a Second Home

The Malayisan government invites all foreigners of all ages and nationalities, including Thais, who fulfill certain criteria to stay or retire and invest in Malaysia, long term.

Successful applicants will be given a 5 year Social Visit Pass, with Multiple Entry visa, and it will be renewable every 5 years.

The minimum requirements are:

1. Monthly income of more than RM10,000 (US$2700) and/or having at least RM150,000 (US$40,000) for a family application.

2. Monthly income of more than RM7,000 (US$1,900) and/or having at least RM100,000 (US$27,000) for an individual application.

Benefits

1. Entitled to buy 1 locally assembled car, free of duty and taxes.

2. Entitled to purchase two properties above RM150,000

3. Entitled to employ 1 housemaid.
