August 8, 200421 yr Does anyone out there have first hand knowledge of the maximun time period for any Thai Visa ??? i e for the US is is not unusual to have a visa term of 10 Years.
August 8, 200421 yr One year is about it for non immigrant visa for general issue. There are probably longer types for official/diplomatic type use but you can search for that yourself.
August 8, 200421 yr Maximum utilize time for a normal Thai visa is 12 months (Multiple netry Non-Immigrant visa). Maximumim stay is 90 days entry. The NON-OA (Retirement pre-approved visa) is valid for one year and Don Muang normally gives you one year on arrival). The NON-BA (Business pre-approved), I don't know the exact details. There is also a 3 year APEC visa, and there is a Thailand Elite Card with a validity of 5 years. Both the APEC and Elite visa holders are given a 90 days entry into the Kingdom each entry.

In two local [nearby country Embassys they indicated that they did not issue any visas for longer than one year....
