Using Atm For Transfer Within Thailand - Limits?

Featured Replies

As you know it's very convenient if you don't have online banking to send money to another account in Thailand from an ATM just with your ATM card and pin.

Does anyone know the limits of these transactions?

For example using a Siam Commercial bank ATM sending to another Siam Commercial bank account, it is possible to send THB 100,000 without reaching any limit.

Also interesting would be to collect information on limits of cash withdrawals at certain ATMs, SCB limit is always THB 20,000, but there is one bank where you can get THB 25,000 out I don't remember which one, which banks have higher cash withdrawal limits?

(Although you can always put the same overseas credit card more than once into the same ATM to get another 20,000 immediately up until you reach the limit of your own bank.)

why not just ask at the banks? as to cash withdrawl limits, believe i have taken out up to B50,000 in one day day from my Bangkok Bank savings account (in two transactions of B25K each at the same time).

With my Bangkok Bank ATM I can transfer a max of 500,000 Baht - Cash withdrawal at least 200,000 baht but may be the same figure . You can telephone the number on the back f your card to raise the limit via telephone .

normally the Bank ask when getting ATM card, what limit you want

that's the daily limit then can be 1 Mio if needed

normally ATM's don't let you take more than 20,000/ WITHDRAW i.e. you need 100,000, you have to put your card 5 times into the machine !! :o
