October 17, 200718 yr Hi, Not sure if this is in exactly the right forum, but it seemed closest to the mark. I've resently relocated to Czech Rep. after a few very enjoyable months working in Thailand. Unfortuantly, I didn't exchange a couple of thousand dollars worth of baht and now find myself rather hard up for usable currency. Does anyone know anything about exchanging baht in the Czech Rep. or anywhere in central Europe? Any help appreciated
October 17, 200718 yr if you can change it anywhere, you'll get a lousy rate with the double whammy of getting the offshore rate, plus a bad spread. Best to try and find someone who is travelling there and swap at the onshore Thai rate. You'll be doing yourself and your counterpart a favour if you can!!
October 18, 200718 yr The exchange rates for baht in europe are bad. If you were in Berlin i would change it for euros as i am travelling to thailand next week But i guess the czeck Rep is a bit far away from here
October 18, 200718 yr If you are in Prague or Brno there are lots of local money changers around maybe you could ask them.On another note I have a friend coming to Bangkok in 2 weeks PM me where you are located in Czech and I will see if I can arrange something.
