The Gentleman Scamp
Fool Thai people into thinking you speak their language better than Andrew Biggs and at the same time, put smart arse Thai speaking farangs in their place with phrases they wouldn't have thought of. I'll be back with more later but for now i'll contribute... "Biid lam sai lek" - "There's a kink in my small intestine".

the scouser
My favourite:- กำขี้ดีกว่ากำตด - "gam kee dee gwah gam dtot" = it is better to hold a shit (in your hand) than a fart. In other words, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Scouse.

"Biid lam sai lek" - "There's a kink in my small intestine". Fool Thai people into thinking you speak their language better than Andrew Biggs Hi there G.Scamp, Please ask your sinister looking Thai language guru,"Andy na' Down-Under",if he's ready to digest some of these tasty tidbits of spicy Thai proverbial cuisine? Fasten seat belts... 1.น้ำขึ้นให้รีบตัก "nahm keun hai reep dtahk"="Strike while the iron is hot";or,"Make hay while the sun shines" 2.รักวัวให้ผูกรักลูกให้ตี "rahk wo-a hai poohk rahk loohk hai dtee"="Spare the rod and spoil the child". 3.อย่าเอาพิมเสนไปแลกกับเกลือ "yaah aow pim-saen pai laek gahp gleu-ah"="Carry coals to Newcastle". 4.ความพยายามอยู่ที่ไหนความสำเร็จอยู่ที่นั้น "kwahm pa-yah-yahm yoo tee nai kwahm sahm-reht yoo tee nan"="Practice makes perfect". "I shall return"! Cheers. Snowleopard.
bannork
หมาเห่าเครื่งบิน--the dog barks at the aeroplane--pigs can fly, namely what you're hoping for or wishing for is impossible. Always use this when your dearest requests yet more funds; on the other hand you could point your head upwards and bark furiously, the missus should get the idea.
