I need to get some documents to the Central California coast soonest. Can someone tell me please what is the absolutely fastest way? Speed rather than cost is of utmost importance. Short of putting it in someones briefcase and sending them there, what method/company best serves my need? TIA for your responses.

FedEx, my man. Office is located on Superhighway across from Makro.

I did a document exchange (was sent a document to sign; returned it) from/to California a month ago.

I handed it over the counter here in CM on a Tuesday afternoon. It was in the recipient's hands Thursday midday, CA time.

I find the regular post office EMS to be faster than either FedEx or DHL, and about half the price. Another thing, EMS delivers on Saturday and Sunday for no extra charges.

Thanks McG and sabaijai. I decided to Fedex with guaranteed Monday delivery. EMS might have got there on time, but I had to get it in the hands of my lawyer who would be taking the docs on a flight that night to Baja, for a property closing the next day, so time was a real issue. Thanks again.
